Texas: Become A Notary: Texas Notaries are elected for a 4-year term by the county legislative body in the county in which the applicant resides or works. A filing fee is required.
- You must be at least 18 years of age
- You must be a legal resident of Texas
- You must meet the criminal history requirements of § 406.004, Texas Government Code.
